Well built bit of kit. Does what it says on the tin ! A good purchase well worth the money. Easy to use, even for the "older" person.
After 4 sessions and about a 0.5 cubic metre stack of logs 5 x 21-inch. It does actually work fairly well but I have 2 issues. It leaks a lot of hydraulic oil, guessing it will need refilling after perhaps 1 cubic metre, and the foot lever flops sideways and has to be operated carefully to avoid hitting the piston release pedal - very poor design that makes it awkward to use.
Bought december 14 but i left it a while to review so i could see it inaction, and so far i haven't been disappointed. Pretty easy to assemble, and splits logs (domestic size burner) very well. It isn't built to machine tool tolerances so some levers are a little sloppy, but it doesn't give the impression it will break. Beware hard wood - the logs can fly out sideways on occasion (hence the "arms". Good pre purchase advice from tooled up and very prompt delivery too.
Fast delivery and well packaged. Easy to put together. Very easy and reasonably safe to use. Re-assuringly heavy but easy to move about thanks to the two rear wheels. Very stable and sturdy, good for the leg muscles.
