Adam Style Box Fibrelass Planter

Robert Adam was an 18th century neoclassical architect and interior designer that pioneered the 'Style of the Adam Brothers' with his brother James Adam. His theory was the first to fully integrate all aspects of a design into a uniform style. That is to say that the decorations of a living space would match the design of all the fittings and furnishings. So when we call this the 'Adam' planter, it is more of a a tribute than a technical description. The motif, although based on one of Adam's designs, would not be Adamesque unless you based your entire theme around it. In fact contrary to Adam's theory, these planters are perfect as standalone pieces. Despite the traditional design this planter, it is extremely subtle finished in either 'Faux Lead' or 'Bronzage' shown below and would fit well with many contemporary themes. Although these are easy to move around when empty when they have been filled with soil, they hold their position rigidly. These could be planted up with almost anything, size permitting. They are perfect for a wide variety of annuals, biennials, shrubs or perennials. Bear in mind however, the growth potential of your choice of plant. These are not the kind of planters that you want to chuck away because because they have been cracked by the overgrown roots of a pot bound shrub. Gauge the potential size of your plant before planting to make sure that your design will last for the longest time possible.
