The inclusion ofaluminium components to areas of the mower where rigidity strengthare crucial including the grass discharge chute, allows for the hybrid steel aluminium chassis.The Mountfield SP555 V is a rotary cut self propelled lawnmower with a variable speed transmission.A heavy duty step less variator transmission designed arounda large cone lets the operator control the travelling speed of the lawn mowerwithout having to apply much pressure to the drive lever. The transmission isless sensitive to wear and provides more torque than on earlier models.The SP555 V has a large 21 inch 53cm cutting width and with thepower drive lets you cover more ground with less effort than if using apush mower. The Honda engine has a 190cc capacity produces 3.3 kW 2900rpm.6 cutting height settings from 26 – 87mm adjusted with thecentral lever ensure you choose the perfect cut for the grass. It isrecommended to start on the highest setting then work down gradually to avoiddamaging the grass and get the best cut finish. Supplied as standard withthe Mountfield SP555V is a mulch plug. When fitted at the rear of the mowerinto the grass chute the plug allows the grass cuttings to be mulched into tinypieces which are then blown back onto the ground.
