Origin New Zealand. One of the most floral and complex flavoured of all the brambles.Firm and easy to pick, these mammoth sized, dark black shiny berries are some of the largest blackberry fruits we have ever seen! The thorny stems produce a rapid, vigorous, good crop with excellent flavour that can be picked over a very long season from early July onwards. Berries have a gelatinous bite to compliment their fragrance. Delicious in desserts, jams and preserves, and excellent for freezing. 'Karaka Black' plants are quick to establish and easy to grow, with excellent resistance to downy mildew. Supplied in a 2 litre pot.
