Escallonia 'Apple Blossom', an RHS Award of Garden Merit winner is a slow growing evergreen shrub. Being one of the hardiest of the genus it is also salt and wind tolerant. Its flowers are pink and white. Eventual height and spread is about 1m 1.5m respectively. Can be used for a trim hedge and loves the sun, also it is very low maintenance. Pruning in mid to late spring is advised if required. Also deadheading can help prolong flowering.
