Product reviews for Stratiotes aloides

Stratiotes aloides

Stratiotes aloides

An unusual native plant with long, narrow and serrated leaves. Stratiotes like to have their roots in contact with the soil or mulm on the base of the pond. Most ponds containing Stratiotes seem to have clear water. Allow to die back naturally. The old plant rots away and the young plants rise to the surface the following spring to bear small white flowers and start the cylcle all over again. Flowers June August. Minimum height 10cm maximum height 15cm. Minimum spread 15cm maximum spread 30cm. Native. Medium growth rate.
