The most common of all bergenias, this is a reliable plant with slightly exotic leathery green foliage tinted purple in the winter. In spring, spikes of pink flowers appear. Works well in a tropical or modern garden. Flowers April June. Height 50 60cm. Supplied in a 3 4 litre pot.
