Product reviews for Carpinus betulus Bare Roots 6090cm

Carpinus betulus Bare Roots 6090cm

Carpinus betulus Bare Roots 6090cm

The Hornbeam hedging plant is a very popular native species with very similar characteristics to Beech in that it retains many of its leaves in winter not quite as good as Beech but they go coppery coloured a bit less coppery than Beech more of a browngrey but this species has more deeply veined and pointed leaves and is very well suited to wetter soils. It's a popular species to add in to native mixed hedging to give it some semi evergreen quality and also very good as a single species hedge in a garden setting. Grows 20 40cm per year. Supplied as 60 90cm bare roots.Seasonal InterestWildlife Friendly
