This tall rounded planter with handles tell stories of classical grace and elegance. Hand made in the Mediterranean theme and aged to look as though it was pulled from the depths of the Lost Civilisation of Atlantis, this planter would be ideal as the highlight in a modern, minimalist design, or as a little mystery tucked away in a rustic cottage garden. This planter is named after Plato, a great philosopher of the ancient world and the creator of the Atlantis myth. Plato writes of Atlantis through the perspectives of his characters Socrates, Timaeus and Critias. The misinterpretation of these works as a historical chronicle rather than a political allegory has lead many scholars and historians to believe that there may once have been a technologically advanced civilisation somewhere in the ancient world that was destroyed by a natural disaster. Some have suggested that they have found evidence to support this. Whatever the truth may be, the story of Atlantis is one that has inspired hearts and minds for generations and will continue to do so. These are handmade and fired in a brick kiln wilth wood, as such there will be some variation in colour and finish.
