Chaenomeles x superba 'Crimson and Gold' is a woody shrub, with dark brown branches, and deep crimson red cup shaped flowers borne in the spring, with golden yellow stamens, followed by small oval green leaves. In the autumn, yellow quinces form, which have a sweet fragrance, and can be used in making quince jelly for culinary use. Traditionally grown next to a wall, where the branches can be trained. Height 100 150cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
