Despite its common name, this is not a true crocus at all. First discovered in Chile in 1862, it was for many years thought to be extinct in the wild. Its brilliant blue, crocus like flowers, often with white veined throats, are set off beautifully against the narrow, greyish green leaves. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Flowers in spring. Height 10cm. Corm size 6cm. Corm sizes quoted in centimetres refer to the circumference of corms. All bulbscorms are sourced from cultivated stocks.
