Cytisus x praecox is a deciduous shrub with slender stems bearing small leaves and primrose yellow flowers in mid and late spring. These are followed in late summer and autumn by black seed pods which pop open in hot weather with a sharp cracking sound, scattering their seeds. A tough, low maintenance plant, it will grow in most soil conditions. Height 90 100cm.
