Gaultheria procumbens is a dwarf evergreen shrub with dark green rounded aromatic leaves, and small white bell shaped flowers in late spring followed in autumn by bright scarlet berries which last for a long time. It grows in partial or full shade, in moist, well drained acidic or neutral soil. An excellent ground cover plant. Height 20 30cm.
