Rhododendron ponticum also known as common rhododendron is a dense, suckering shrub with evergreen leaves and violet purple flowers often with small greenish yellow spots or streaks. The fruit is a dry capsule about an inch long at most, containing numerous small seeds. Fowers May June. Height 200 250cm. Supplied in a 4 litre pot.
