This unusual upright shrub, native to China and Japan, is the only species in the Rhodotypos genus. White cup shaped flowers are produced from the tips of the arching branches from late spring to early summer against mid green, serrated, heavily veined leaves. The papery flowers are followed by pea sized glossy black fruits. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
